08 / About

An operating partner, not an advisory firm.

ImpactOps exists because a specific role kept going unfilled: someone who actually owns the sustainability work at a manufacturer too small for a department and too exposed to ignore it.

Founded 2021. Chicago. Manufacturing-only by choice.

Our thesis

Your customers are demanding more sustainability information. We make sure you’re ready — and help you turn it into business.

Where we came from

Between us: fifteen years inside manufacturers, a decade of LCA and declaration work, and enough questionnaire deadlines to know exactly where the time goes.

Why manufacturing only

The requirements are product-driven and channel-specific. A firm that works across every sector cannot know which PCR your competitor argued with, or which distributor scorecard is about to change.

What we don’t do

We do not write brand purpose statements, run offset procurement, or produce glossy annual reports. We build the data and the answers underneath them.

01 / How we work

Four commitments.

These are the things clients hold us to, and the reasons engagements tend to run for years rather than quarters.

01

The deliverable is a capability

If what we hand over cannot be used by someone on your team next quarter without us in the room, we built the wrong thing.

02

Commercial before virtuous

We start from the revenue at risk and the accounts asking questions. Emissions reduction that has no buyer attached is a second-order conversation.

03

Say the number or say you don’t have it

Vague environmental language is a liability and customers can tell. We would rather publish a modest, sourced figure than a flattering unsourced one.

04

Tell you when to stop

Some certifications are not worth their fee in your channel. Part of the value of a fractional team is that we have no incentive to grow the work programme.

02 / The team

The people who show up are the people who do the work.

No pyramid. The person in your kickoff is the person answering your questionnaire in month seven.

04

Claims & commercial lead

Marketing and regulatory background. Translates verified data into language sales can use and legal will sign, then keeps the claim register honest as evidence expires.

Tell us what your customers are asking for, where you’re struggling and what you’re trying to achieve. We’ll show you what needs to happen next.
